| Description |
A recent addition to the aquarium trade, the Banner (Banggai) Cardinal Fish fares very well in captivity. This peaceful fish does well in aquariums as small as 20 gallons when a single specimen of the secies is kept. Larger groups require tanks of 100 gallons or larger in size as territorial pairs will form. Be prepared for some losses though. A great community fish. |

Feed a diet of meaty foods. This includes marine fish, such as silversides, crustacean flesh, mysid shrimp and frozen preparations. Banner (Banggai) Cardinals will also accept quality flake foods. Feed Daily. Keep Banner Cardinals only with other small and peaceful species of fish. |

Banner (Banggai) Cardinal Fish breed relatively easily in home aquariums. Males will mouthbrood the eggs while females defend territories. Ultimately, there will some losses of the fry. |
